Qara Tapa (arabcha: قرة تبة; turkcha: Karatepe[1][2]) Iroqning Diyala muhofazotidagi asosan turkmanlar yashaydigan shaharcha[3][4]. Kifrining janubida joylashgan. Joy nomi turkman tilidan olingan boʻlib, „qora tepa“ degan maʼnoni anglatadi[5].

Tarixi[tahrir | manbasini tahrirlash]

1820-yilda Qora Tapaga kelgan Klavdiy Rich uni turkmanlar yashaydigan qishloq deb taʼriflagan. 1805-yilda 700 ta xonadon boʻlgan. Hukumat zulmidan qochganlar hisobiga 75 tagacha qisqargan[6].

1820-yillarda Qora Tapaga kelgan Jeyms Bukingem ham uni turkmanlar yashovchi qishloq deb taʼriflagan. U shaharning kattaligini Kifrining yarmiga teng deb, aholisini esa 1000 kishi deb maʼlumot bergan[7].

It appeared to me, to be hardly more than half the size of Kiffree, and the population still less in proportion ; that of Kiffree being estimated at three thousand, while the inhabitants of this are thought not to exceed one thousand. The appearance and language of the people are as decidedly Turkish as the name of the place itself, and all seemed to confirm the opinion already expressed as to the common origin and progress of these halting- stations on the road."“
