1963-yilgi Sport avtomobillari boʻyicha jahon chempionati navbatdagi mavsumi FIA Jahon sport avtomobillari chempionati avtopoygasining 11-mavsumi boʻldi[1]. Unda 1963-yilgi GT ishlab chiqaruvchilari uchun xalqaro chempionat doirasida uch dvigatel sigʻimi boʻyicha bahslar boʻlib oʻtdi va 1963-yilgi GT prototiplari uchun xalqaro dvigatel sigʻimi boʻyicha avtomobillar ikkita guruhga boʻlindi. Mavsum 1963-yilning 17-fevralidan 1963-yilning 14-sentyabriga qadar davom etdi. Mavsum davomida 22 ta poyga bahslari tashkil etildi[2].
1963-yilgi Sport avtomobillari boʻyicha jahon chempionati togʻ poygalari va ralli musobaqalarini oʻz ichiga olgan oʻziga xos birinchi mavsumi edi. Musobaqa Daytona 3 Hoursdagi Daytona International Speedway Road Course trassasida boshlandi va Double 500 km musobaqasining Bridgehampton Race avtodromida yakuniga yetdi.

Quyidagi 22 ta poyganing har biri FIA tomonidan tasdiqlangan unvonlaridan bir yoki bir nechtasi uchun hisoblangan. Ushbu poygalarning maʼlum birlari uchun unvonlar tashkil etilgan edi. Barcha poygachilar toʻliq musobaqalarda qatnashmadi. Baʼzi poygalar chempionlik yoki kubok bosqichida bahslashmaydigan klasslar uchun ochiq edi.
