Concorde (talaffuzi: Konkord) oʻrta masofali, toʻrt motorli, tor korpusli va supersonik (tovushdan tez uchuvchi) yoʻlovchi samolyotidir. Uning maksimal tezligi 2.04 Ma (1 354 metr/soat) ni tashkil qilib, bu tezlik tovush tezligidan ikki barobar ortiqdir. 92 tadan 128 tagacha yoʻlovchiga moʻljallangan. 1969-yilda ilk sinov parvozini amalga oshirgan Concorde 1976-yilda tijoriy parvozini amalga oshirdi va 27 yil davomida yoʻlovchi tashidi. Bu tayyora tijoriy maqsadlar uchun foydalanilgan jahondagi ikki supersonik samolyotdan biridir; ulardan ikkinchisi Sovet Ittifoqi tomonidan ishlab chiqarilgan Tupolev Tu-144 samolyoti boʻlib, bu samolyot 1970-yillarning oxirlarida yoʻlovchi tashigan.[2][3]

Concorde Fransiyaning Sud Aviation (keyinchalik, Aérospatiale) va Birlashgan Qirollikning British Aircraft Corporation shirkatlari oʻrtasidagi kelishuv asosida loyiha oʻlaroq yaratildi va ishlab chiqarildi. Bu ikki shirkat hamkorlikda ushbu samolyotdan 20 dona tayyorlashdi. Air France va British Airways shirkatlari Concordeni sotib olgan hamda uni parvozini amalga oshirgan yagona aviakompaniyalar boʻldi. Samolyotdan asosan uning tezligi va hashamatli xizmati uchun yuqori narx toʻlashga qodir boʻlgan boy yoʻlovchilar foydalanishgan. 1997-yili New Yorkdan Londonga boʻlgan ikki tomonlama chipta narxi $7 995 (2020-yilda $12 900 ga ekvivalent) ni tashkil etgan boʻlib, bu narx ushbu yoʻnalish boʻyicha rejalashtirilgan eng arzon parvozdan 30 barobar qimmatdir.[4]
