Sting (haqiqiy ismi — Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner; 2 oktabr 1951-yilda t.) — ingliz rock-musiqachisi va aktyor, 1976—84 y.y. The Police guruhining yetakchisi. 1994-yildan buyon yakkahon ijod qiladi. Oʻzining laqabini Sting sahnaga birinchi marta chiqqanida kiygan qora-sariq rangli sviteri uchun olgan. "To sting" feʼli "chaqmoq", koʻchma maʼnoda esa "kesatmoq" maʼnolarini bildiradi.
2009-yil 17-oktabrda Sting Toshkentda konsert berdi.[1]
