2018-yil sentabr oyida Google Cast qoʻllab-quvvatlovi Google Podcastsga qoʻshildi[3]. Google I/O 2019 koʻrgazmasida Google iOS, Android va Windows uchun Google Podcasts veb-versiyasini eʼlon qildi[4]. iOS versiyasi 2020-yil mart oyida ishga tushirildi[5][6]. 2019-yil noyabr oyida ilovaning dizayn Google Material Theme yordamida qayta oʻzgartirildi[7]. 2020-yil 12-mayda Google foydalanuvchilar podkast obunalari va tarixlarini Google Play Musiqa orqali Google Podcastsga oʻtkazishlari mumkinligini eʼlon qildi[8].
2023-yilda Google Podcasts rahbarlari Chuk va Steve McClendon yaqin kelajakda podkastlar YouTube Musicga qoʻshilishi haqida eʼlon qildi[9].
