Tangri Berdi Dodkhah - (?-1926)- One of the famous kurbashis ( military leader) in Kashkadarya oasis. An active participant of the national liberation movement in Turkestan.                                                                                                  

Period of Kurbashi                      

   He organized his group in 1922, was  the leader of this group. At the end of 1924, he began negotiations with the leaders of the Soviet government in order to put an end to the war and made strict demands on them. The government, which did not want to fulfill his demands, intensified the  fight against him. The government used various methods to kill Tangri Berdi Dodkhah. His advisor Musulmankul was captured by Soviet authorities in Kalka village of Shakhrisabz uyezd. Said Eshon, who served to Tangri Berdi Dodkhah, had great influence among the population. Kurbashi made good use of Eshon’s services and through them helped to reveal to the people the essence of the policy introduced by the Soviet government.  According to the data of the Turkestan Front on September 19, 1925, because the local residents of the Shakhrisabz region had joined the Red Army’s volunteer unit, Tangri Berdi Dodkhah banned them from entering the mosque with the help of two eshans. Since the second half of 1925, Tangri Berdi Dodkhah  as a result of the application of punitive measures of a strong economic and military nature, he will be forced to leave for the place where the seed of the chungot lives in the Kashkadarya region. After a certain period, the Tangri Berdi Dodkhah back to the cave and begins to live in the village of Abdukandi on October 7, 1925. The active leaders of the armed movement in the Kashkadarya region were considered the Tangri Berdi Dodkhah, Mavlonbek, Mullah Abduraziq etc. According to the information of the political Department of the Turkestan front on October 10, 1925, in a confrontation between the United detachment of the qahbashi (consisting of 80 guys) and the red soldiers, 7 of the qahbashi were killed and 6 of the men wounded. Tangri Berdi Dodkhah on April 26, 1926, in one of the battles in the book District, he is captured and subsequently shot by Soviet.
