Object history
Deutsch: Die Gestaltung und Zeichnung stammen von Heinz Ritt. Der Hirschkopf steht für die Jagd. Die Rodehacken stehen für die Landwirtschaft. Die Tanne steht für die Forstwirtschaft, bzw. die Herkunft vieler Orte der Gemeinde als Rodungsplätze, die den Orten "-schied" und "-roth" in deren Namen verlieh. Das Wappen wurde am 12.12.1980 durch Ekkehard Gries, den Hessischen Minister des Innern, genehmigt.
