Object history
Deutsch: Die Tanne auf dem Dreiberg redet für den Ortsnamen Thanstein. Horn und Zange verweisen auf zwei für die Herrschaftsgeschichte der Gemeinde wichtige Adelsfamilien. Das redende Symbol der Zange steht für die Zenger, die vom 14. bis zum 16. Jahrhundert als Inhaber der Hofmark Thanstein belegt sind. Das Horn aus dem Familienwappen der Freiherren von Horneck, seit 1754 in Kulz, steht stellvertretend für die Reihe der adeligen Besitzer des Landsassenguts Kulz. Zange und Horn, historische Symbole der Ortschaften Thanstein und Kulz, erinnern somit auch an die 1978 erfolgte Zusammenlegung der beiden Gemeinden.
