Object history
Deutsch: Die Gemeinde Röfingen besteht aus den ehemals selbstständigen Gemeinden Röfingen und Rosshaupten. Die Marktgrafschaft Burgau war seit dem Mittelalter Landesherr. Daran erinnert die Darstellung des burgauischen Wappens mit der Schräglinksteilung von Silber und Rot, überdeckt mit einem goldenen Pfahl. Der Pferdekopf steht redend für den Ort Rosshaupten sowie für die dortige St. Leonhardskirche. Die drei schwarzen Pfähle im Schildfuß sind das Wappen der Familie von Argon. Es steht stellvertretend für die vielen Adelsfamilien, die früher im Gemeindegebiet begütert waren.
