Deutsch: Der Gestaltung dieses Wappens lag die Überlegung zugrunde, dem sicherlich ungewöhnlichen Umstand der Teilung des Ortes Nitz über Jahrhunderte hinweg in zwei Herrschafts- bzw. Verwaltungsgebiete Gestalt zu verleihen, da diese Teilung wohl als die herausragende Eigenheit des Ortes angesehen werden muss.
Sichtbares Zeichen dieser Teilung ist der Nitzbach, der dem Ort seinen Namen gab und noch heute Grenzbach zwischen den Regierungsbezirken Trier und Koblenz und den Kreisen Mayen-Koblenz und Daun ist. So gehörten bis vor wenigen Jahren die beiden Ortshälften verschiedenen Kreisen, Schulbezirken und Pfarreien an. Im Wappen wird der trennende Nitzbach als blaue Wellenleiste dargestellt. Die beiden Figuren Adler und Raute führten die Grafen der beiden ehemaligen Herrschaftsgebiete Nürburg und Virneburg, denen Nitz zugehörte, jeweils in ihrem Schild, wobei der Adler für die Nürburger und die Raute für die Virneburger steht. |
