I thing "pahtakor" is shahzoda's song.

Both, Shahzoda and Bojalar have songs about Pakhtakor. Shahzoda's song "Pakhtakor '79" is dedicated to those who lost their lives in 1979, while Bojalar sing about the current club. There's another song about Pakhtakor on Youtube, I don't know who sang that. --Asror 22:59, 12 Aprel 2009 (UTC)

Betawiki: better support for your language in MediaWiki

Dear community. I am writing to you to promote a special wiki called Betawiki. This wiki facilitates the localisation (l10n) of the MediaWiki interface. You may have changed many messages here to use your language in the interface, but if you would log in to for example the Japanese language Wiktionary, you would not be able to use the interface as well translated as here. Betawiki also supports the translation of messages for MediaWiki extensions. Many of them are used in WMF projects and they are vital for understanding the wiki. Translators for over 100 languages contribute their work to MediaWiki this way every month.

If you wish to contribute to better support of your language in MediaWiki, as well as for many MediaWiki extensions, please visit Betawiki, create an account and request translator privileges. You can see the current status of localisation of your language on MediaWiki.org and do not forget to get in touch with others that may already be working on your language on Betawiki.

Fundraising time is around the corner!

Hello Wikimedians, my name is Deniz and I am working for the Wikimedia Foundation during the 2010 Fundraiser. My job is to be the liaison between the O'zbek community and the Foundation. This year's fundraiser is intended to be a collaborative and global effort, we recognize that banner messages that perform well in the United States don't necessarily translate well, or appeal to international audiences.

I am currently looking for translators who are willing to contribute to this project, helping to translate and localize messages into O'zbek and suggesting messages that would appeal to O'zbek readers on the Fundraising Meta Page. We've started the setup on meta for both banner submission, statistical analysis, and grouping volunteers together.
Use the talk pages on meta, talk to your local communities, talk to others, talk to us, and add your feedback to the proposed messages as well! I look forward to working with you during this year's fundraiser.

Deletion request

Hello all!

I have just reviewed the deletion requests for this Wikipedia project and deleted a whole punch of pages. Some of them were tacked for deletion for some months already.

Please understand that I don't want to disrupt anything here, but I had to trust the people who added the deletion requests. I sadly don't understand your language. I did my best and deleted only thing were I was sure that this shouldn't be problematic. If someone could review the deletions I did, I'd be thankfully. Please also take a look at the deletion requests, there are still things listed there, those were I'm not sure. If you have any questions and if you need more things deleted, then please mail me or post me a message here or there. Bojalar is an Uzbek pop band, famous in Uzbekistan with their hits "Anhor boʻyida" (By the river), "Jiyda", "Koʻchada" (On the street), "Kechir meni" (Forgive me), etc.

"Bojalar" involved in a car accident on 29th of June, 2009. Member of band Moʻmin Oripov has died as a result of accident.

Announcing Wikipedia 1.19 beta

Wikimedia Foundation is getting ready to push out 1.19 to all the WMF-hosted wikis. As we finish wrapping up our code review, you can test the new version right now on beta.wmflabs.org. For more information, please read the release notes or the start of the final announcement.

The following are the areas that you will probably be most interested in:

• Faster loading of javascript files makes dependency tracking more important.
• New common*.css files usable by skins instead of having to copy piles of generic styles from MonoBook or Vector's css.
• The default user signature now contains a talk link in addition to the user link.
• Searching blocked usernames in block log is now clearer.
• Better timezone recognition in user preferences.
• Improved diff readability for colorblind people.
• The interwiki links table can now be accessed also when the interwiki cache is used (used in the API and the Interwiki extension).
• More gender support (for instance in logs and user lists).
• Language converter improved, e.g. it now works depending on the page content language.
• Time and number-formatting magic words also now depend on the page content language.
• Bidirectional support further improved after 1.18.

Report any problems on the labs beta wiki and we'll work to address them before they software is released to the production wikis.
