Geoffrey Chaucer (talaffuzi: Jeffri Choser; tax.  1340-yillar — 25-oktabr 1400-yil) ingliz shoiri va yozuvchisi boʻlgan. Oʻrta asrda ijod qilgan eng buyuk ingliz shoirlaridan biri boʻlgan Chaucer The Canterbury Tales („Canterbury hikoyalari“) asari bilan mashhurdir. U „ingliz adabiyoti otasi“ yoki muqobil ravishda „ingliz sheʼriyati otasi“ deb atalgan. U Londondagi Westminster abbatligida joylashgan „Shoirlar burchagi“ deb nomlangan joyga dafn etilgan ilk yozuvchi hisoblanadi. Chaucer, shuningdek, faylasuf va astronom sifatida ham shuhrat qozonib, oʻn yashar oʻgʻli Lewis uchun A Treatise on the Astrolabe („Usturlab haqida risola“) nomli ilmiy asarini ham yozgan. U davlat xizmatida byurokrat, saroy amaldori, diplomat va parlament aʼzosi oʻlaroq ham faoliyat yuritgan.
