Object history
Deutsch: Der Stadt Hagenow ist durch den Großherzog von Mecklenburg Friedrich Franz II. am 10. April 1858 das Recht zur Führung eines Wappens verliehen worden, welches unter der Nr. 49 in der Wappenrolle von Mecklenburg-Vorpommern eingetragen ist.
In durch den Barsbütteler Hans-Frieder Kühne neugezeichneter Fassung wurde das Wappen am 15. März 1996 durch den Innenminister von Mecklenburg-Vorpommern genehmigt.
