Object history
Deutsch: Der heraldisch stilisierte Kirchturm im vorderen Feld steht für den romanischen Wehrturm der Pfarrkirche Tegernheim. Der Rebstock im hinteren Feld erinnert an die seit der Römerzeit gepflegte Weinbautradition an den zur Donau hin abfallenden Hängen mit günstigen Boden- und Klimaverhältnissen. Die besondere geographisch-geologische Situation der Gemeinde kommt in den zwei Bergen im Schildfuß zum Ausdruck: In der sog. Tegernheimer Schlucht stoßen Urgestein und Juraformationen aufeinander.
