Deutsch: Jedes Feld der Vierung repräsentiert eine der ehemaligen Gemeinden wie folgt: Die Flasche für Niederselters, Stab und Krummstab für Haintchen, Hammer und Schlägel für Münster und der Schwan für Eisenbach. In Niederselters wird sehr feines Mineralwasser hergestellt. Der Name Selters ist in Deutschland sogar ein Synonym für Mineralwasser im Allgemeinen. Münster bedeutet "Kirche", Hammer und Schlägel symbolisieren den Bergbau. Der Schwan bezieht sich auf eine Legende. Im 15. Jahrhundert rastete eine Gruppe von Sinti und Roma bei Eisenbach und machte ein Feuer. Sie sahen Schwäne und wollten sie jagen. Die Schwäne gerieten in Panik, flogen ins Feuer, fielen auf die Dächer von Eisenbach und setzten so das Dorf in Brand. Als Erinnerung für künftige Generationen zeigten die Eisenbacher den Schwan.
English: Each quarter represents one of the former municipalities as follows: the bottle for Niederselters, staff and crozier for Haintchen, hammer and mallet for Münster, and the swan for Eisenbach. In Niederselters very fine mineral water is produced. The name Selters in Germany even is a synonym for mineral water in general. Münster means "church", and hammer and mallet are symbolising mining. The swan refers to a legend. In the 15th century a group of Sinti and Roma rested near Eisenbach and made a fire. They saw swans and wanted to catch them for food. The swans got panic and flew into the fire and soon they fell on the roofs of Eisenbach and set the town in fire. As a reminder for future generations, the Eisenbachers displayed the swan.
