Deutsch: Das Wappen wurde 1927 verliehen und ist abgeleitet von einem Siegel aus dem Jahre 15. Jahrhundert. Es zeigt das Symbol (gebrochenes Rad) der Ortspatronin, der hl. Katharina sowie als Zeichen für das Kloster Altenmünster (frühere Besitzer der Gemeinde) ein Kreuz.
English: The arms were granted in 1927 and are derived from a seal from 15th century. The broken wheel is the attribut of Saint Catherine, patron Saint of the village. The cross symbolises the Altenmünster monastery, former owner of the municipality.
